Christmas Time

Kennedy meeting Santa!!! The institute has a christmas party every year and this year the director dressed up as Santa Clause. We had quite the wait to see him and by the time we got to the front, she was more than tired and as you can see she's just not sure what's going on - and well, there's the drooling problem.

We also got together with some friends last weekend for our annual gingerbread house romp. It was a lot of fun!!!! Brent came up with the idea to make "our house" out of gingerbread. He was the architect behind it all and I was the construction worker.

This is a picture just outside our front door a week ago. School was cancelled this day. Can you believe it!!!! There was suppose to be a big ice storm, but it never really happened. They freak out about any kind of storm here and just start canceling everything before it even hits. We heard there were hour long lines in Walmart. School was cancelled though - we don't mind!!!

Cabbage Patch Dolls

So pretty much anytime anyone sees Kennedy they will always comment on her huge cheeks. I always tell them that she is just getting her food storage for the winter. I have had a couple of people comment how her cheeks look like a cabbage patch doll. I searched the cabbage patch doll website to find out if it was true. What do ya think? I think its a pretty good match, if the doll just had a little more hair - or a any for that matter!

Cake Decorating Class

A couple of friends and I decided to take a Wilton course 2 cake decorating class this last month. It was SO much fun and I loved it!!! Not only did I learn tons of cool things I also got a night away from Kennedy. These pictures are of our final cake project. We worked on the flowers throughout the class and then used them on our final cake. We are already planning on taking course 3 in January. YEA!!! I can't wait!!!

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we were excited to have Brents brother, Scott, and his family stay with us for the weekend to help us celebrate the holiday. We also had some friends, Jacque and Aaron, over to eat Thanksgiving dinner with us. We all pitched in to create a elaborate dinner menu. It was all SO GOOD!!!! There was definitely some recipe swapping going on afterwards. For dinner I made everyone wear either a pilgrim or indian hat - even Kennedy didn't get off the hook. It was pretty fun and as you can see Bristol got really into it. Also, Thanksgiving morning Brent, Scott, and Aaron ran in the Turkey Trott. The Turkey Trott was a 5 mile run put on by the local YMCA. They all did great - despite the freezing temperatures!!! (although, the next morning I think Brent wishes he would have trained more)

Happy Halloween

So we are a little late in getting our Halloween pics up, but at least it's before Thanksgiving. We had a lot of fun dressing up this year with our Peter Pan theme. Doesn't Kennedy make the cutest Tinkerbell? Every year Brent's school does trick-or-treating and a costume contest before the trimester gets out for break. It was a lot of fun to see all the cute, creative costumes and we lucked out with winning a $50 gift certificate to Chuckee Cheese for the most original family costume. YEA!!! We are both just dying to use that one!!!! We also got together with some friends at the institute and carved pumpkins. Brent came up with the idea of using the stem as the nose. We have quite the happy pumpkin!!!

Random Pics

Just some random pics of Kennedys first haircut (can you believe it at 2 months old - she was getting quite the mullet), naptime & storytime with daddy, Kennedy flaunting her first money (thanks gram), and a picture of just the biggest cheeks ever!!!

Chicago

On the way back from Utah, we stopped in Chicago for a day before Brent had to get back to school. We did the whole downtown thing and hung out mainly in Grant Park, but our downtown experience wasn't complete because we didn't make it to Giordano's. YUM!! Next time for sure!

2 Months Old

While we were in Utah we decided to have one of my best friends, Annie, take Kennedy's pictures. She is just getting into photography and as you can see by the pictures, she is going into the right field. She did an amazing job and captured some cute moments. We love them!!!
