Our First Trip Outside

Brent took Kennedy on her first trip outside. Besides the bright light I think she liked it.

Swadling Class

We had a rough first few nights with Kennedy and decided to get one of our friends to teach us how to swaddle. She came over and showed us, but we still needed a little practice before the real thing. We finally got some sleep that night.

Kennedy Ann Noorda

Kennedy was finally born on Monday July 16th!!!!! We are so excited to have this new addition to our family. Emily went through a difficult labor but made it through just fine. Both mother and daughter are doing great and getting used to life here at home with a baby.

Enjoying the 4th

About the only fireworks that are legal here are sparklers and snaps, so we made the best of what we had while waiting for the fireworks to start.

Red, White and Boom

To celebrate the holiday we went down to the mississippi with friends to see the fireworks. They light them off of a big barge that they tow up the river, it's pretty cool. In the background you can see the centennial bridge, that's one of our favorite ways to go over to Illinois.

Summer fun

Our friends found out about a free water skiing show every week on one of the rivers here, so of course we had to go check it out, after all it was free. The water skiing was cool but the improv show that went with it was a little cheesy... but we had fun!

As big as a Basketball.

One of Emily's students, and many people since then, have made the comment that "it looks like Emily swallowed a basketball". We decided to go up to the sporting goods store and test the truthfulness of everyones opinion. Yep, it's true! from the side she's as big as a basketball but from the back she doesn't even look pregnant...
