Porch Buddies

Kennedy LOVES going outside and anytime you even reach for the door knob she is already half way across the room. We always sit outside our door and watch the birds, bunnies, and neighbors go by. Her favorite times outside are getting the mail and waiting for daddy to come home from school. We decided to start giving Kennedy chores around the house. She has two main chores that she takes care of...1) push the garage door button for us. 2) get the mail. She loves them both!!!

Brents Birthday Bash

So last year for the Palmer Halloween costume contest we won a gift card to Chuckee Cheese.  We thought it would be a little too cheesy to have Kennedy's 1st birthday there, but not too cheesy to have Brent's 28th birthday there.  So, we made our way to use our gift card and the coupons we scouted out and purchased 500 tokens for everyone to have unlimited arcade game time.  It turned out to be a ton of fun and Kennedy enjoyed all the fun kid rides.  I guess we'll have to start thinking of ideas for next years halloween costumes!!!

Just a little bed head

Usually Kennedy has some bed head when she wakes up from her naps, but when I woke her up from her nap today, well...it was a bit more than just a little.  I guess its her first experience with humidity and bad hair days.

3 Things

 I've been tagged, so here it goes....

Three Joys

1.  When Kennedy is loopy.  Most of the time, when Kennedy gets tired she gets really loopy and will laugh at ANYTHING.  It is hilarious!!!  Most of the time I can't get her going too much because I know if I do, then it will take her an hour to calm back down and go to bed.  It is seriously SO tempting to me.  I love it!!! 

2. The sun and warm weather.  I love being able to sit outside, go on walks, and barbecue.  Summers are my favorite.  Only 1 more winter in Iowa and then its off to warm weather forever.  HOORAY!!!

3.  Vacations.  Both Brent and I have a serious need to travel.  I love just seeing new places and being able to get away from the normal everyday things.  Road trips are the best and must include junk food.  We can't wait for the break in 11 days.  Not that we are counting or anything!!!

Three Fears

1.  Getting shot - crazy I know, but I have dreams about it all the time, actually one last night and I woke up holding my head where I got shot.  Like I said, weird I know.

2.  Staying home at night when Brent's not home.  I hear every noise and make it out to be so much more than it ever is.  Most of the time I sleep with the lights on downstairs or in the hall.

3.  Swimming in lakes where I can't see what's below me.  I am always really afraid of a fish touching my legs for some reason.  The ocean is always rough because when the kelp touches my legs I freak out.  The funny thing is one of my favorite things to do is waterskiing and we are for sure going to own a boat when our pocketbooks are more in the + than the - .

Three Goals

1.  Exercise more - it is a huge weakness of mine.  I love how I feel afterwards, but it the getting there that's the hard part.

2.  Read my scriptures more.  Need I say more.

3.  Learn spanish.  I hate when people are talking in a different language and I have no clue what they are saying.  For all I know they are talking trash about me.  Brent knows spanish and I would love to be able to teach Kennedy spanish.

Three Current Obsessions

1.  Practicing my guitar and making a camp songbook.

2.  Trying to find a cute outfit for the 4th of July/Jackson trip.  I want to get a baby cowboy hat (would that not be SO adorable?) - any ideas where I could find a cute one?

3.  Working on Brent's business logo.

Three Random Facts

1.  I love having the dishes done.  I don't know why it makes me feel so good, but it does.  I can't wait for a dishwasher.

2. I am finishing up pumping milk for Kennedy and I am SO excited.  I wish that I could do it longer, but I think I'm just done.

3. I do all the finances for the family.  I'll be honest, it works to my advantage some times!!!
