Our new car

After a lot of shopping, we finally found a car (and a dealer) that we liked. It is a 2002 Honda Civic. Brents favorite part about it is the sunroof, but mine is definitely the air conditioning. The heat out here, plus the humidity has been horrible this last week. It couldn't have presented itself at a better time.

Bikin'

There are a lot of cool bike trails around here, so we thought we would take advantage. We tried to capture the whole "firefly experience" because it is so gorgeous, but it didn't work. I guess you'll just have to come out to experience for yourself.

Maquoketa Caves

In our attempt to find something that looks like HOME (mountains, camping and outdoor recreation)....this is the best we could do. We found these caves about 30 minutes from Davenport. It is a gorgeous area and definetly something we are going to explore more, despite the humidity. I think we'll wait until we get a car with air conditioning.

Nauvoo Trip

We made the trip to Nauvoo for Brent's first time. We had the opportunity to go through the temple and help clean later that night. The security guard took us on a tour and we were able to go up the tower under angel moroni. It was a cool experience. We also drove around town a little to see Joseph Smith's house, grave and the red brick storehouse. We will be going down again soon for the Nauvoo Pageant.
