Sewing Time

I saw this CUTE crib set at a store here and loved it, but.....then I looked at the price tag...just 450 dollars....pocket change. So I decided to break out the sewing machine and make a similar crib set. Brent was at a seminar this weekend so I had the whole place to myself for my sewing room. I made the crib skirt, comforter, and refurbished a lamp this weekend. There will be more pictures of the nursery's progress to come.

Everyone has been asking to see pictures of my pregnant belly. She is for sure there and is moving around like crazy now. I feel HUGE and I know its only going to get better.

Getting Ready for The Little One

IT'S A GIRL!!! Despite Brent's predictions we found out on February 23rd that we are having a little girl. We tossed around a few names for awhile (against Kents suggestion of Nora Noorda), we decided to go with Kennedy Ann.

Our First Visitor!

We were SO excited to finally get a visitor! Pat, Emily's mom came to hang out with us for a few days. We tryed to show her how great Iowa can be but it rained almost the whole time. We ended up going to a town called Gallina that we've heard good things about. It was a fun place with an 'old main street' filled with shops and a few restaurants.

After Galina we stopped by Emily's school to see her classroom. Pat was very impressed of how much work she has to do everyday and how great her room and diplay looked.

It was also very nice to see Emily and Pat enjoying some quality bonding time.

It was GREAT to have Pat visiting and was hard saying 'goodbye'. We hope that we can get her to come back soon!
